Jeff has been converting buses since 2009. In 2015, Custom Bus Conversions was born and soon became Skoolie Homes. He works with clients worldwide in consulting and building their buses. Down-to-earth and straight to the point describe Jeff's personality and teaching style. There is a running joke that he often begins a sentence with the phrase, "I'm not trying to hurt your feelings, but..." He won't string you a line. Missy is the creator of Discovering US Bus, a blog about her Skoolie adventure from 2009 to the present. As the lead designer at Skoolie Homes she draws upon her experience on the road to create thoughtful, beautiful floor plans. She understands challenges of living tiny. After the adoption of their final four children, they decided to travel the country in a converted school bus. Along with raising 7 children, several with special needs, Missy somehow balances home schooling, managing a booming business, and making sure no one starves to death. Of course none of it would be possible without coffee. Lots and lots of coffee.

Answers to Frequently Asked Questions
When will the course material be available? Can I start today?
As soon as you enroll, you will have access to the course material. All of the Modules will be immediately available. The Facebook group is also open now!
Do I need to have certain skills or knowledge before I enroll?
No! You do not have to be an experienced carpenter, electrician, or plumber to build a bus home! We will show you the exact tools you will need and how to use them. The only requirement is that you use common sense and safety gear!
Does the course include instructions for solar installation?
Not yet. Solar is on the schedule to be added but is not currently in the course. Keep in mind, once a customer pays for the course they get access to all material that is added or updated as well as any bonus material. I agree that solar is confusing. That is why we are taking our time to fully understand all the possibilities before adding it to the course.
Can I purchase just the modules I need?
The course is not available in single modules at this time. Honestly, because we've packed so much amazing content into this course bundle, you are getting a much better deal than if we just sold the course modules separately. We may consider offering different bundles in the future.
Does your course apply to all types of buses?
Yes. It is geared (pun intended) toward school buses, but can be used for any type of home on wheels including vans, charters, or even prison buses! There may be some adjustments required to suit the needs of your vehicle or tiny home.
How quickly can I convert my bus following your course instructions?
Depending on your budget and time frame, it is possible to convert a bus in 90 days. The course will be delivered over 11 weeks, but it is not expected that any conversion could be completed in that time.
What if I don't have my bus yet? Will I have access in a few months?
Yes! Once you have enrolled in the course, you will have access to the current material plus any additional updates until your conversion is complete. That means whether you plan to finish your project in 6 months or 2 years, you won't be left hanging in the middle of your conversion. We will not offer this deal for this low price again! By purchasing now, you are locking in your membership so the course will be waiting for you when you're ready to start converting.
Can I use my choice of materials?
Absolutely. Most of the materials we use can be easily substituted by any other you choose. If you are not certain, you can email us and we will help you figure out a suitable alternative.

As soon as you enroll, you will have access to course material. Modules 1-4 will be immediately available. The remainder of the course will be unlocked 31 days after your enrollment. The Facebook group is also open now! Facebook Live and videos will begin the week of April 17th.
